Pangkor Island Budget Trip

Teringat snorkeling kat Phi Phi Island? My first time entering the magical underwater world, seeing colourful fishes, giant purple clams and long spined sea urchins...I thought Aquaria is already amazing. Well I was wrong. Going underwater isn't anything like watching animal at the zoo. The indescribable feeling makes me want to find out what Pangkor has in store for me. Actually juga sebab kitaorang bosan duk officel.

So my journey to Pangkor Island started with us, the three girls driving all the way to Lumut District, Perak. Total cost (petrol, toll, ferry tickets, accommodation) were shared equally, We each forked out RM100. Slightly over three hours, we arrived in the town center, which I thought was pretty much developed.

Roof parking, across the jetty

Walking to the jetty
Parking was incredibly cheap, Monday-Thursday: no charge for the 1st hour, RM0.30 per hour after that, Friday-Sunday: RM0.80 first hour, RM0.40 for next subsequent hour. We paid only RM7.50!

The Jetty

RM10 return ferry to Pangkor

Air conditioned. Half and hour trip, might also transit at one island
Pangkor was actually somebody's name, Che Pang Kor. Surprised? I was.

Jetty to Teluk Nipah, RM10 or RM15 (1 taxi van), depending on how you negotiate

Pink taxi vans everywhere

Stayed in Nipah Bay Villa, RM150 one night, 1 queen bed and a bunk bed

Chalet but we stayed in a back building for late booking. All good ones were gone
Cam tipu pula gambar ni kan?
Snorkeling in Giam Island, a smaller island just across Pangkor

Sand is rough and coarse

Sunset in Pangkor. If you cross between those two islands, you'll to see Teluk Bogak
Nightlife begun

At noon
Beautiful serene beaches

Some place to dine at Pangkor Jetty
They say it's cheaper to get seafood snacks in Lumut than on the island itself
Inside Anak Kampung Pangkor, you wouldn't miss their huge sign

On our way back, we stopped by Kellies Castle. Such a fine day to shoot photos.

Then my battery died...
