Coffee Break

Lake Toba, Medan North Sumatra

The entire troop went to Medan to visit my doctor to-be sister and the Lake Toba, largest volcanic lake in the world. OMG largest volcanic lake in the WORLD, you read me, the LARGEST!

This was a historical vacation because it was my first time holding my own passport, my first time dealing with immigration and paid this document using my own money. It was also my first time visiting Indonesia! More meaningful that this trip was with my whole family! Parents, siblings and my aunty who stayed with us since my parents had their first child.

Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Polonia International Airport. Yeah, I love to read it full

We had normal lunch

Modern face of Medan town centre

Lake Toba, cool breeze love it to bits

Living Clove, for real. I know you guys only seen the dead dried one
Old lady asked for money, photography fee ok
I love Malaysia.

Marche Movenpick Malaysia at The Curve

Kids,

My best buddy and I went to Marche (pronounced Mar-shay, French word for market oh now I know) Movenpick last September for Ramadhan Buffet. I was like "Are we serious, it's super expensive!" - we were just started earning salary. Heck lets just go! So we rang the place up to book but they just asked us to come.

Compared to my playground Mid Valley Mega Mall, The Curve was one alien mall and I'm still amazed how we found our way here. And yeah, people were queuing up till next door restaurants by the time I recognised the green bull (see last photo). I don't know what luck was with us that day, we barely made it in and "I can't believe we're in, look at the people behind us!".

Kids, this is one huge place, amazingly spacious and the ambiance were all worthwhile! Felt like being teleported to foreign market! Oh oh, you must know that the decorations vary to sections. Gila man. My eyes couldn't get enough of the themes and food presentations.

On the food, well, you can really taste the quality but value for money---was more on dining experience. Yeah, my taste buds prefer Padang cuisines. Ala you know, normal food.

Ka-ching! RM130++ flew tata.

Nevermind I thought...once in a blue moon...and it was with my best buddy...so...

Let's just see photos:

People queuing. Perhaps only during fasting month

RM200 fine if you lose your Marche-Passport. Get it stamped every time you order something. Pay at the exit

Yummy dessert too bad I was already a balloon

He stopped and smiled for the camera. Seriously? =.='

Told you it felt like in a foreign market

Swiss Rosti. Was dull tasteless and believe me you're going to waste it!

Emmmmm~~ I hate it how they made me want to taste everything

This was only 1/8 of the place so imagine I walked and walked like it was borderless

One of the dining areas each with its own theme. Boy I was wrong when I thought we got the nicest deco

Seafood my favourite. Bits of everything. Jangan tamak...

Marche Movenpick

Marche Movenpick, when will I see you again?

Warehouse Sales!

Kids,

Mama grabbed these shoes while she dropped by Clarks Warehouse Clearance in Corus Hotel. It was on 16th December 2010, the family came for something I don't remember? Anyway, Mama had one pair being good quality it lasted for four freaking years! So when I told her about this warehouse, she went to have a look and end up hundreds bucks poorer. (Update: Mama said one of the shoes didn't make it more than a year, so don't buy at warehouses anymore)

Clarks RM90 (Clarks normally retails at RM200 above)

RM90

RM150. Bovine skin

RM90

On another related story, I bought these bags at Jusco J Card Members' Day Mid Valley last weekend. Happy hours were fun! I couldn't hear myself talking 'cause the staffs were promoting the 80% discount like maaadddd.

Benedetti Polo RM51.98 for my aunty (before RM259.90 but I'm skeptical)
Beverly Hills Polo Club RM47.98 (before RM239.90 this one I'm sure it's not)

The brown bag below was from Sogo Warehouse Clearance, Level 7, a member privileged event. The entire floor dedicated to this clearance sale, just name it, food, toiletries, clothes, maternity wears, nearly everything at a bargain price!

Sisley RM89

When do I stop going to warehouse sales? I went to Hush Puppies Footwear Warehouse Sale at Hotel Armada PJ, trying my luck to see if there's anything affordable. The crowd was crazeeeee OMGggg.

<3 RM80
